Interop Tokyo 2027
Interop Tokyo is Japan's largest and most influential internet and business technology exhibition, first held in 1994. Organised by the Interop Tokyo Steering Committee together with management by Internet Association Japan and NANO OPT Media, Inc., the show brings together roughly 500 companies and organisations from Japan and abroad to demonstrate the latest networking, AI and cloud technologies on the exhibition floor and in conference sessions.
The 2027 edition is scheduled for 9 (Wednesday) to 11 (Friday) June 2027 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, using the International Exhibition Halls 3 to 8 and the International Conference Hall. Exhibition hours are 10:00 to 18:00, with the final day closing at 17:00. The organiser expects around 150,000 visitors including co-located events. Co-located shows for 2027 include Digital Signage Japan 2027 and AI NATIVE EXPO 2027.
Keynote sessions run alongside the exhibition each day, opening at 09:15 with sessions from 09:30.
ShowNet, the comprehensive demonstration network first deployed at the show in 1994, runs across the exhibition floor and serves live connectivity to exhibitor booths. The annual Best of Show Award, with jury-selected Grand Prix and Special Award winners, recognises products, services and solutions representing the year's IT trends.
The 2027 theme areas highlight network infrastructure, AI infrastructure and data centers, cloud native, enterprise DX, generative AI and AIOps, IoT and edge computing, 5G/6G, GX and SDGs, all-photonics networking, security, space business and technology, and digital media.
The 2026 edition drew 143,312 visitors over three days at Makuhari Messe. Admission to the exhibition and seminars is free with advance registration; some seminars are ticketed. Access is via Kaihin-Makuhari Station on the JR Keiyo Line, about a five-minute walk from the venue, with Tokyo Station around 30 minutes away by train.
