About the meeting
The Winter Exploration and Production Standards Meeting is the American Petroleum Institute's (API) winter upstream standards forum, organized under the Committee on Standardization of Oilfield Equipment and Materials (CSOEM). CSOEM is responsible for approximately 400 standards, of which roughly 275 form the basis of the API Monogram Program. The meeting is open to anyone who wishes to participate.

Technical subcommittees reporting to CSOEM meet during the week, including Subcommittee 2 (Offshore Structures), Subcommittee 5 (Tubular Goods), Subcommittee 6 (Valve & Wellhead Equipment), Subcommittee 8 (Drilling Structures), Subcommittee 10 (Well Cements), Subcommittee 11 (Field Operating Equipment), Subcommittee 13 (Drilling, Completion and Fluids), Subcommittee 15 (Fiberglass and Plastic Pipe), Subcommittee 16 (Drilling Well Control Equipment), Subcommittee 17 (Subsea Production Equipment), Subcommittee 18 (Quality), Subcommittee 19 (Completion Equipment), Subcommittee 20 (Supply Chain Management), Subcommittee 21 (Materials), Subcommittee 22 (Offshore Cranes, Lifting, and Handling) and Subcommittee 23 (Drilling and Production Technology). Some subcommittees may not meet at this conference; the online program confirms which groups convene.

In accordance with API's ANSI-accredited procedures, the standards development process follows the principles of due process, openness and balanced representation, and participation is open to all parties with a direct and material interest in the subject of a standard. Attendees can earn Professional Development Hours (PDH), and the API Events app carries the agenda, announcements, attendee list and networking tools. Sponsor and tabletop exhibitor packages include exhibit space near the registration area on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Registration is handled through API Events.
