Remsen Barn Festival of the Arts (Barn FOTA)
The Remsen Barn Festival of the Arts is a juried outdoor arts and crafts festival with over 250 exhibitors plus food and entertainment. It is held each year, rain or shine, during the fourth full weekend in September on Main Street in Remsen, NY (about 12 miles north of Utica on Route 12). Admission is free. Pets are not allowed.
2026 dates and hours
26–27 September 2026
- Saturday: 10:00–18:00
- Sunday: 10:00–17:00
Vendor setup is Friday 09:00–20:00 (staggered; Friday traffic on Main Street is southbound only). Saturday/Sunday setup windows 06:30–08:45. Cleanup Sunday 17:00–20:00 (Main Street northbound only).
Venue and parking
The show occupies Main Street in Remsen. During festival hours Main Street is closed to through traffic between the north school driveway and Prospect Street. Three paid parking lots are $5: School Lot and Depot Lot (via Route 12 to Pritchard Road or Route 365 to Prospect Road; paved parking at the School Lot) and Shufelt's Lot off Route 12 with shuttle buses. Handicapped-accessible parking is available at the School Lot.

Applications for Barn FOTA 2026 were due 15 January 2026 ($20 jury fee). Accepted vendors register in June. This is an outdoor show (wind, rain, uneven ground). Arts & crafts exhibits are judged during the weekend (Erin Hamlin Best of Show and category prizes).
