The market is known for the quality of work produced by its member studio potters. Member Jenny Lou Sherburne describes it as unique because, individually, these artists are among the finest craftsmen in the country, and collectively they bring high standards, imagination and camaraderie to the show.

The 2025 edition returned after a year’s absence and raised about $6,000 through the sweepstakes, with 50% of proceeds benefiting downtown Spruce Pine. The 2026 market continues that tradition of connecting clay artists, collectors and the local community.
